On October 5, 2020, at 5:00 pm, Rome time, Prof.
Martín Carbajo-Núñez, ofm, will participate as a speaker in a
Zoom video-conference that will analize the keys to Pope Francis' new encyclical "
Fratres omnes" (All Brothers and Sisters). The other two speakers will be
Rafael Vázquez, director of the subcommittee for interfaith relations of the Spanish Episcopal Conference, and
Silvina Pérez, director of "
L'Osservatore Romano" in Spanish. The meeting is organized by the news agency "
Rome Reports" and will be moderated by its director, J
avier Martínez-Crocal.
The Pope has decided to sign the encyclical in Assisi, on October 3rd, the eve of St. Francis' feast, and has chosen as its incipit a quote from his writings, more specifically from the sixth admonition. The content of the encyclical is awaited with great interest and will be released on the day of the feast of the Saint of Assisi, that is, one day before the video conference.
