On the occasion of the celebration of the eighth centenary of the Canticle of the Creatures, Prof. Martín Carbajo-Núñez, OFM, has been invited to lead a day of reflection at the Sanctuary of San Damiano, where Saint Francis composed this universal canticle.
The Franciscan fraternity present in this place, which will accompany many celebratory events this year, wishes to reflect with Fr. Martín on the new paradigm of integral ecology promoted by Pope Francis and on the Franciscan roots of his encyclical Laudato si'.
The meeting will be held on 26 February 2025 during the morning, for a duration of four hours. In the afternoon, there will be a celebration with young people from many countries, during which there will be
the reading of the Canticle of the creatures in over 30 languages.
