On 22 Febrero 2022, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. (4:30-5:30 p.m. in Rome) Prof. Martín Carbajo Núñez will give a lecture on the theme: "The Economy in a Franciscan Key" at a meeting of bursars organized by the OFM Franciscan Province in Ecuador. The event will take place in Azogues (Ecuador) and the conference will be transmitted electronically.
Prof. Carbajo will examine the economic sustainability of the Franciscan family, trying to identify the values that should inspire the friars’ decisions in this realm, so that they can be faithful to their charism and mission. The analysis focuses on the friars of the first Order (OFM, OFMcap, OFMconv). He will present some of the current social challenges that compel the Franciscans to review their economic sustainability. Then he will talk about how to illuminate the current situation in the light of the Franciscan charism. Finally he will indicate some guidelines to put into practice the economic dimension of Franciscan life.
