Professor Martín Carbajo-Núñez will represent the Alfonsian Academy (Rome) at the XVII International Congress of Moral Theology (CITM), organized by the San Alfonso University Foundation in Bogotá (Colombia), on August 21 and 22, 2025. The conference will address the theme: "Ethics of the 21st century: Changes and conflicts in society, gender, AI and integral ecology".
The San Alfonso Foundation is a higher education institution run by the Redemptorist missionaries of the Bogotá Province and approved by the Ministry of National Education. It is an educational work of the Catholic Church, dedicated to the formation of competent leaders and professionals, inspired by the values of the Gospel and the moral principles of St. Alphonsus, Doctor of the Church ( Congress 2023).
Since 1984, it has organized national and international congresses on Moral Theology, which have become important forums for debate on issues relevant to both society and the Church. These events have seen the participation of renowned moral theologians, philosophers, political leaders, doctors, pastoralists, and professionals, all of whom have enriched theological and moral reflection with their knowledge and experience.
This year, in its XVII edition, we will once again have speakers and participants from various countries, as has been the tradition in previous editions.
