Summary: This essay explores, in a fundamental way, the link that binds faith, reason and contemplation in Bonaventure.s doctrine. To this end is applied a philological analysis of the use of the Latin prepositions .a, per, ad., which provide the peculiar rhythm and order to the sapiential way. The three parts in which the study is presented describe a journey through his methodology in adherence to the texts of the Franciscan Doctor. This journey reveals a hermeneutic efficacy helpful in coping with the pathologies of modern culture.
