Summary: A syntactic reading of Jefte’s cycle sheds light on the way the narrative of events is built and helps to delimit the different traditions around this Judge. Through this methodology it is possible to appreciate the many goals present in the story: connections, bridges, underground intentions, unifiers... wished by the last narrator. All of this offers a more complete vision and helps to isolate the units that compose the cycle, even if here other factors have also had their influence: literary, theological... All of these contribute to a better understanding of the structure of the text.
