SUMMARY: The world of Israelite wisdom is traditionally placed in a second degree in respect to the historical books and to those prophetical, which play the part of the lion. In all truth, contemporary research is increasingly discovering the deep value of wisdom and the books that contain it, since, in its attentive and disenchanted contemplation of the real, it unveils mechanisms - objects of study and respect - because they are natural and anthropological mechanisms of existence. One could speak of the discovery of their «autonomy» and their exigency, which are treated with calm and equilibrium. The author verifies such a truth which the O.T. offers in the sapiential book of the Proverbs.
