SUMMARY - The" recent influx of studies of Ilario of Poitiers (IV Century) is indicative of the interest which this Latin Father has stirred up with his theological works stili very rich in aspects not yet explored. Among these worthy of note is the doctrine on the will which fore-sees in many ways the successive reflections of Augustine. The will and anthropology, the will and psychological and moral outcomes: among these coordinates the intent to help his readers know themselves and understand exactly where is their will.
